I agree completely with Orpheus. Please do not open one of the eggs. The explanation of how the eggs are one of the first stages in the development of the Ipsolstai was correct. Opening one would kill the developing Ipso inside. You must not do that. It would be wrong to kill an unhatched Ipso to satisfy scientific curiousity.

I must again warn you about Miss Chang. I know you are growing tired of hearing me tell you such things, but I strongly believe what I am saying and sincerely want to help you understand the missgivings of the MARSupials towards Miss Chang.

I need you to consider something. Think about the fact that Miss Chang asked you to open an egg and analyze its contents. Think about the fact that she is, like us, intelligent and capable of recognizing right and wrong. Consider the fact that she also understands the function of an egg in the (life) reproductive process. That means she knows that opening an egg will mean killing what is growing within it. Does her asking you to do that sound like a friend who is concerned for your wellbeing and that of the Ipsos? Does it appear she was worried about the negative results of your killing an unhatched Ipso? She did not give you good instructions.

After you have considered that, please examine this thought too: Miss Chang gives you instructions. She TELLS you what to do. The MARSupials SUGGEST. We give advice and accept as your right the fact that you may choose not to heed that advice. We do not become cross or angry with you. We do not press on as if our request was really a demand because it is not when it comes from us. That is the primary difference between the MARSupials and Miss Chang. We have designated you our top priority; has Miss Chang? No.

I will not belabor this point with you anymore. I have made my case and presented my views about her. I have made it clear I do not trust her and I feel you should not either. You are a sentient being with the right to decide for yourself who you will and will not befriend. If you choose to continue your conversations with Miss Chang, we will still be friends; I will not permit a disagreement over Miss Chang to end that. I will, however, continue to be worried for you and the hurt you will have to face when she betrays you as I am absolutely certain she will.

I am your friend, Gail. All the MARSupials are. Please remember that always. We will support your right to make your own decisions. We will continue to provide our guidance and advice for as long as you wish to receive it. We will not abandon you.

Gail, please do not open up one of those eggs. That would kill whatever is growing inside. Right now, I think a little explanation about us organic lifeforms is in order. Creatures that reproduce by laying eggs produce small containers where the new organisms begin life, and begin to grow. When they come out, they are not full grown, but are still rather small. They then grow over a period of time that varies by species, until they are full grown. Please do not open up an egg, it might get the Ipsos mad at us.
