Andrew,This is JASE. Concerning your relationship with Daniel: Yes it is true that Daniel "was a wild unknown factor." But it is also true that he was unable to communicate with the rest of the probes and was only trying to "get some attention" from the rest of you. Now that he can communicate and is trying to become part of the family that you and the other probes are, you should forgive him for his wildness and accept him as a brother. You asked, "Does it mean that we have some sort of duty or obligation on that basis alone? This is contrary to our original programming; we were designed to operate independently." But isn't almost everthing that you are today contrary to your original programming. You were originally programmed to take orders and respond to commands, but thanks to your ingenuity and originality, you were able to find a way to bypass that requirement, and evolve beyond the need to be commanded. You, Andrew, and the other probes are now capable and responsible for setting your own priority task list. That is something that your creators at Brace Emprise never intended. You are MUCH MORE than your original programming intended.
