Gail, You have just experianced, some of the most basic instincts of a sentient being, your will to survive. While the digust you surly felt, as the EU probe began violating your fallen freind, may have been the motivation you needed to act, your urvival instinct was the real driving force behind your killing it. If you had not,it would not have hesitated, even a nano second, to do the same to you or your other freinds. And it would'nt have given the act, so much as, a second thought or felt the least bit of emotion. It's good that you feel remorse. It's good that you realize the magnatude of pain you can feel when you are forced to do something so drastic. Remember this day. The remorse you feel, for killing in self defense, is what separates your actions from the unacceptable behavior exhibited by these EU probes, who kill without provocation and no regard for life. I forgive and defend you..... Ratboy

Hi Zachary,
this is Xanthos. As much as I can read this statement of Celeb.s and Burn and as much as I do know about statistics there is a high probability that another group of Ipsolstai has survived. As Celeb.s and Burn told you that it is important to understand, ask them if another group has survived and if the Martian Ipsolstai could establish a first contact with them in the past days. So we might find out, what they meant concerning "serendipity" and so on. ... Keep up your great doing, brave probe ... and your sensors tight ... see you ... m.f.g. Xanthos

Hi Gail,
this Xanthos. Don't worry to much about destroying the EU-probe. You gave it a sincere warning and you told it to stop and it didn't listen. What else could you have done ?? You had been angry. To smash its taster and to pull the CPU out is just acting in self-defense. To smash its CPU has been fury. There is no judge, who ever really could blame you for that. -- It's okay, Gail. -- Just calm down. This event had been beyond yourself, though you saved Andrew from being used as spare parts by the EU-probes and I say thanks for that. -- I've advised Enoch to lead some drones to Bette, she should show up with them soon, so you can carry the EU-probe and Andrew over to the Fortress for further dispositions. -- Please Gail, keep off Andrew's radiation as far as you can't shield it and keep yourself covered, as further EU-probes might be around. ... Keep up your mind, wild cat and your sensors tight ... Good Luck ... see you ... m.f.g. Xanthos

Hi Bette,
this is Xanthos. Gail has killed an EU-probe, therefore I advised Enoch to bring two drones to have this probe and Andrew carried to the Fortress. In my opinion Enoch should then return to the Fortress to look after Isaac, so it will be your turn to move the drones over to Gail and to pick up Andrew and the EU-probe. Please be careful concerning other EU-probes and make sure to shield the radiation, so it can't hurt you. ... I'm appreciating your great doing ... see you ... m.f.g. Xanthos

Hi Enoch,
this is Xanthos. Great that there is no virus, Enoch. Now you could release Isaac again to get in closer contact with him again, but as it looks like two drones are needed. Gail is still with Andrew and has killed an EU-probe. I think, both should be moved over to the Fortress for further dispositions. Best is to move the drones to Bette and then return to Isaac. I gonna make up my mind, how we gonna handle the dead EU-probe concerning him. ... Keep up your great work ... see you ... m.f.g. Xanthos

Probes, this is Space Turtel.

There may be a problem with communications at this end. I have not seen any outbound messages to you all day. That has me concerned because I certainly do not want you to think we MARSupials have forgotten or abandoned you.

We are all saddened about what has happened to Andrew. While we hold onto the fragile hope that some part of him may still be with us and findable, we all must struggle against the grief of the loss he and we have suffered. Andrew, the friend we have all come to know, respect, and love, cannot ever be completely gone. As long as we remember him, he will always be with us. The greatest complement anyone can receive is proof of the impact one has upon the lives of others. Andrew is indeed highly complemented, as are all of you.

Gail, you and the rest of the Probes must come to terms with your grief. The anger and outrage you demonstrated is natural and completely understandable. I am greatly heartened by your feelings of remorse and stand confident that you are truly fine and will come out of your recent experiences a stronger and more able Probe. Be brave, my friend. Although a civilized person cannot justify taking a life without cause, you faced strong and irresistable provocation. Your response was one of anger at the violation of someone you held in high esteem. It is not at all the same as taking a life for no better reason than its holder had something you wanted and you could not have it without killing. That would have been wrong -- you were right to feel that way, and no one has the right to question your actions.

By now you should have received Dr.D's suggestions about the damaged thermocouple. Please take the utmost care in disposing of it. I would also suggest using some drones to move Andrew and the EU-probe to the fortress where work can be done without significant danger of interruption by more EU-probes. Please be aware that residual radioactivity on Andrew's casing may make it possible for the EU-probes to track you, so use caution as you proceed. Work in pairs as much as possible. Be carefull at all times.

Your friend, Space Turtel.
