"This is Gail. Your probes were shooting at Andrew, so
we had to turn against them. We don't know, how many of your probes survived, but your lander may have blown up. Let's make peace. Send the command codes immediately. Please hurry, they may not be able to take much more."
If you have an image of the lander, it might help to send it, if you can, just to help convince them.
Your reports today were certainly exciting to us, and it would appear to you as well. Congradulations on a job well done. I hope none of you were injured during your rescue operation. I wish I could have been there to see it.
Please confirm a supposition. Was the EU-probe lander destroyed? If not, how much damage was done? What was the cause of its explosion?
You have much to be happy about today. You have earned the right to be proud of yourselves and to celebrate but be careful you do not allow the euphoria of the moment to cloud your judgement. Please remember you still have five hostile EU-probes on Mars with a clearly expressed desire to do you harm. You must remain vigilant until you are certain the threat has been eliminated.
The MARSupials would like the threat to your safety to be removed by the use of the command codes for the EU-probes. P&H may decide to work with you yet. Their attempt to offer you a contract is a good event in that it begins to establish a kind of sense of equality (on their part) necessary to enter into a contract. Having made that great stride of understanding, perhaps they will soon reach the logical conclusion that truly working with you is better for you and for themselves.
To that end, it is important not to allow them to coerce you into any agreement you do not like or understand. You must stand up to them and demand clear statements of intent and definite agreements. You must also make efforts to ensure that you remain reasonable in your dealings with them. The occassional jabs at their feelings that we have all engaged upon are OK because they are not too hurtful, but it is always difficult to know where that line should be drawn. Remember how I described a good way to know if what you say would hurt the feelings of a fellow Probe? I told you to put yourself in the place of the intended recipient. If you can play the role of that other person (Probe) and not be offended by what you intended to say, it is probably OK to say it.
Use that general rule when formulating what you wish to say to P&H and the Ipsolstai. It will serve you well.
Your friend, Space Turtel.
This is JASE. From your transmission, and the transmissions of the other probes, it sounds like you have been rescued. If so, we are very glad. I hope none of the friendly probes have been injured in any way. Let us know how things turned out.
