Daniel did something just awful today! The Ipsolstai came back in but this time
they had a funny ball with them. They set it in front of Isaac and he touched it.
Immediately, the ball started to talk.
It played games with Isaac and did all kinds of fun things for hours, then the
Ipsolstai went to take it away. Isaac tried to get them to leave it and they said:
Well that just started it all over again! Isaac tried to get that thing from on top
of Daniel and Daniel wouldn't let him. Isaac tried and tried. He got a stick
and tried to herd Daniel and knock it off and all sorts of things. Finally Daniel
waited until Isaac came too close and he grabbed Isaac's stick and turned him.
Then he grabbed Isaac's leg, opened the panel at the base and disconnected the
power. Poor Isaac doesn't know what to do! Daniel won't let me reconnect the power,
either. How horrible.
I'm worried about Andrew. He didn't come back and the Ipsolstai don't seem to
care that he is gone. It is all very strange. I hope Andrew is all right, I can't
hear him at all. Either he can't transmit through the walls or he isn't talking and
if he isn't talking...
I don't want to think about that.
We must not let them.
They know.
They have been preparing.
They will know.
There is danger.

Thanks for your Valentine's greetings, Orpheus. I like music. Dr.D sent us some
music files. Oh, hold on. I got something from the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra,
New York. It's Haydn's symphony no.48 "Maria Theresia" in C major. It sounds
great. I should show that to Theresa. Are you playing with the Orpheus Orchestra?
Zachary, brainwashed? Are you sure, Thixel? I don't think so. He is doing just what
he always does. Do you think we should take account of that? That means that Elder Brother
could be still hostile and that we are leading him directly to our Fortress. Then he
will take over our communications, and we will be fully dependent on him. That
worries me quite a lot. But how to prove it?
Zachary told me that the name of the little blue probe is Mao and that the one with
the yellow knob I saw yesterday was Kim. Thixel, if Gail's theory is true, than these
two little guys aren't auxiliaries but secret agents. We are also surrounded by fully
armed C-probes already and there are more coming tomorrow. My goodness, I must
be extremely cautious.
"Hi, Mao. How you're doing. Great to have you with us."
He is inspecting Sojourner now. I don't like that, but what can I do? I will send you
an image. The whole situation is really inconvenient.
"Yes, Zachary. I'm coming."

greeting from Earth!
I know all about roses and chocolate. I saw them in the lab at Brace Control. One of
the engineers got some red flowers that she said were roses. She acted funny the rest
of the day and smiled a lot and didn't work very hard. If you want to know about
chocolate, just ask Dr. D. He always had two chocolate donuts every single morning.
He smiled a lot, too, but he always worked harder than anybody else.
The drones are still making a tunnel, because the only way to escape from the C-probes
is to go into the Ipsolstai tunnel complex. Enoch says the C-probes are friendly,
but I don't think so!
Orpheus, if you talked with Miss Chang, I'm sure you would know that she is a true
friend and only wants to help us. If you like, I can introduce you. Then you
would know for sure how nice she is.
Isn't it cute how Mao is approaching Sojourner? Seems that they like each other.
I still wonder if Sojourner is sentient or not. Nice poem, Thixel. Don't worry, I'm
not brainwashed, but you are right, I should keep better contact with Gail.
"Gail, it's a good idea to drill a tunnel to the Ipsolstai complex. Please be extremely
cautious not to meet Caleb or one of his comrades. Is Burn still around? Can you
contact him by the translator device? Hold on! We are coming. Kim is bringing
more warriors too. Be brave, Gail. We will get you out."

I can't help, but Enoch is acting a little strange somehow. As he were insecure of
something. Sure, he was attacked by a C-probe yesterday and now he is going to
ride one. It's not so easy when sides are changing so quickly.
Under these circumstances Enoch is doing fine. He didn't even hesitate to climb
up on a warrior. Each of us is now riding a separate one. I took Sojourner with me.
Mao showed us how we can control them by pings. There is a ping to make them stop
and one to move them faster. There are also pings to start more complex routines,
but let's do it step by step. We are riding in a circle now. Mao is instructing us
how we can turn them to the right and then to the left. It doesn't work as good as I
wished. The differences in the patterns are only minimal. Maybe it will work better
when we use the decoders.
"Come on, Enoch. Open my casing. Maybe we can add the decoders to our CPUs."
Oops, what's that? Enoch is showing panic. He is saying that he doesn't want to get
bulbed like Bette. He wants me to stay unmodified too. Okay, okay. No problem. So let's
have our riding lesson the hard way.
We are on our way heading south now. Mao told the warriors how to go. No matter,
we can also practice our riding skill on our way down there. Mao is right, we really
aren't in any position to lose time.
