Why can't things be the way they used to be? I don't like the way things have
turned out. I'm worried most about Gail. I hope those EU probes don't get her.
She always complained if she got left alone. More than any of us, she was the
one who didn't want to be by herself.
"Zachary, we're all in the Fortress, except for Gail."
I'm glad he's back. Now if he can just get here safely, without running into any
EU probes. And where's Daniel? He's such a lone wolf. Even with a radio transmitter,
he's still unpredictable and scary.
"Enoch? About that pinging? I think I can taste it, too."
This is an interesting project. I'm just sorry it happens to be our friend Andrew.
There are several things I could do. Which would be the best way? Dr. D, I
wish we could just send him back to you at the lab.
"Bette, remember how much trouble you used to get into back at Brace?"
How did that Ipsolstai get into the Fortress? Gail must have built a connection to their tunnel system because I didn't see him come in through the main entrance. He's probably bringing more problems.
"Hi. Welcome to our Fortress. I see that Zachary is back from the errand you sent him on, but he isn't here yet.
"I was just trying to fix my friend. I don't suppose you
could help?"

The robot opened the package from Mars while the Ipsolstai waited at a
safe distance. As each item was pulled out and examined, the noise of
clacking pincers got louder and flashes of color increased. I could tell that
they were excited.
After all, I am an ambassador, so here goes:
"Greetings from Mars. I come in peace. Your brothers on Mars will be
happy to learn that you have survived. Now how do I get back?"
They didn't pay any attention to me. Caleb should have given me one of
those translator boxes to take along. They think I'm just some kind of
robot.
Hi, Xanthos. I will watch out for EU probes. I'm coming
from Jose's cave.
It might be the quickest way, but it's the one I know best.
