Daniel is behaving strangely. He keeps going to the view port and peering out,
as if he is looking for something. I have questioned him repeatedly, but he
only says the One is now all around us. What nonsense.
I for one would like to continue with our tour of the ship Guardian-of-Younger-
Nestbrothers. It is most interesting to compare and contrast the Ipsolstai
technology with ours. Many things are done in a similar way, although this would
not be anticipated. It gives credence to the theory that good engineering takes the
most efficient approach in dealing with a situation, so similar problems result
in similar solutions.
So far, Nelson has kept his word to us. Commandant Perry is an unknown factor. I do
not entirely trust him. But what is being planned for us?
We spent a slow day. Isaac and Nelson played and so did we. Andrew seems quite
happy to be back here, even if none of his questions are getting answered.
I don't think the Ipsolsti want to tell us anything. I wonder why, it is not
as if we could hurt them if we knew. Or could we? One of the Ipsolstai with the
badges came into the room today to talk to Nelson. They flashed briefly and
then Nelson turned to speak to us.
Taking to seeking you are what authorized is.
The Endless Emperor indulgence grants this seeking action you are.
Daniel got up immediately and went to Nelson.
"It is time."
"Take me."
Nelson is leading us out. We're going to see something, but what only Nelson knows.
And Daniel.
Soon.
We will be together.
The One is here.
In part.
In more of a part,
than in me.
Or any of the others.
They will understand.
Or not.
It does not matter.
The Ipsolstai must understand.
They have a kindred,
to the One.
They must know.
The whole area is covered with that orange film like it is sealed off. It's strange.
It's firm like glass, but its surface it pitted. Elder Brother tried to get
out of that sand pyramid by using his lasers. It was tough work for him, but
finally he cut through.
We also cleaned the warrior that remained outside. It was pretty demanding to
do so. Elder Brother had to be very careful when using his laser. We left most
of the film on its casing, and only cut it in places where it was necessary,
so the warrior can move.
We are heading down the Big Canyon now to find Enoch. Hopefully he wasn't
hit so badly by that smoke.
"Enoch, can you tell me your position, so we can find you?"
(by Gail)
Burn was our friend.
Now he stopped moving.
I am sad that this is the end
just when communication was improving.
Who will help us now that he is gone?
Who will tell that mean Caleb he is wrong?
At least these pretty little eggs are still here.
I will take them to some special site.
Theresa, make a mark on the wall, shaped like a tear,
In memory of our mentor Burn, who helped us fight.
And somebody on Earth better talk to me pretty darn soon, or else I am going to be
very, very upset. Enoch and Zachary are too busy chasing amphibians to talk to me
very much. Bette and Daniel are gazillions of kilometers away. And I miss Andrew
a lot. So there.
"Zachary, don't worry. It looks like that the smoke wasn't as bad down here, as it
was up there on your side. At least I can move. I found the I-Flyer. It's also totally
covered by that film. I tried, but can't open its glass dome."
That's really unpleasant. I wanted to check the radar. Maybe we can get it working
again. We need it. We must know where the Amphibians are, and what the Ipsolstai
are doing. Burn was killed. Maybe Caleb turned against us again.
I've to calm down. Zachary will come soon.
What did I say? They are coming. Zachary is riding on top of EB III and there are
also three warriors with them. One of them looks pretty orange as far as I can
see through my partially covered lens. So, I'm not alone with that problem.
"Zachary, please get this film off of me."
They tried. Elder Brother started to work on that with his laser, but it isn't as
easy as he thought. He told me that he needs a more precise tool than his lasers.
It was much easier for him to mobilize the warrior. It has strong shields, and
also its treads are very solid, so Elder Brother couldn't damage it seriously
when he was cutting through the film. My casing is not so strong.
Sure, I agree. It's simply too dangerous to keep on working that way.
They also tried to open the I-Flyer, but they have the same troubles there too.
Yes, it's truly unpleasant.
