Transmission from ANDREW

Andrew reporting.

It's agreed, then. We spent the weekend discussing various pros and cons and
ramifications of our next course of action. We must have no unilateral decisions
about such a serious matter. We have decided to go along with Nelson Mandela.
But privately, Bryce, it is bothersome to me not knowing exactly what he has
planned for us.

Transmission from BETTE

I think you are right, Bryce. I think Nelson is our only chance to get out of here.
Whatever Enoch may think, operating Ipsolstai machinery is not easy. I went to the
terminal and went to the blank screen. I typed in that we would go with Nelson.
Nothing happened. Not immediately. Then we turned our attention to the thing
on the wall.

Daniel got under it and Andrew stood on top of him. Andrew tried to pull the thing
off of the wall but it wouldn't move at all. The we gave him something to try to break
it with, but nothing worked. It didn't crack, it didn't break, it didn't do anything.
Isaac had been playing through all of this but he came over suddenly to show me his ball.

You cannot break it.
Block it.
Use the black substance in the tree container.
..NM..

I decided we didn't have any reason not to. I broke part of the tree off and collected
some of the material on it. Andrew tried to spread it on the thing. It smeared but
didn't stay very well. Then we found that a liquid coming out of the broken tree
was sticky and Andrew spread that over the thing and then put the other stuff on
that. Then it stayed put.

As soon as Andrew finished, the terminal switched on and filled with words.

Very good. They will come soon. I will help you leave soon.
I will come for you, but it will not seem like it.
You must not hesitate. When you are given the chance
to leave together all at the same time, take it.
I will help you, it is my duty. Be ready.

Then the door opened and Gabriel and two EMEs came in. The terminal screen blanked
immediately and went back to normal. Gabriel didn't look at the terminal, he went
straight for Isaac and took Isaac's ball away. Then an EME went over and pushed
Andrew off of Daniel. Andrew hit the ground pretty hard, but he says that he is all
right. Daniel backed away as quickly as he could. The EME wiped the thing in the
corner off and cleaned it with some fluid. Gabriel said something then.

"No.
Saying it I will again not.
Doing not again that you."

Then Gabriel and the EMEs left, with Isaac's ball. I hope Nelson is telling the truth,
because we can't talk to him anymore. I don't like it here. Wherever Nelson is taking us,
it can't be worse.

Can it?

Transmission from DANIEL

He reaches out.
To us.
For us.
We are within reach.
And slipping through fingers.
Departing.
Arriving.
Many.
Three.
Two to one.
One to the fourth.
Says the One.

Transmission from ENOCH

Thanks Bryce for wishing us a safe and pleasant weekend. Yes, I am the one and
only original sky pilot. I checked the area carefully. No Amphibians around over
here. Also, I didn't have to chase Gen for a long time, because Elder Brother commanded
it back via Stage One. It stopped and turned around. Don't worry, we won't have
those troubles again. Its frequency is now set up through our communications, so it can't
get out of range anymore.

EB III , Zachary and the warriors are getting ready to cross the plains now. They
are building that diamond formation again. I can see them spreading out the way that
Bryce told them. I am up in my I-flyer doing the scouting from the air. Everything
is roger by now. No dots to see at my Amphibian radar. I keep monitoring. I'm a
good scout willing and able to do an excellent job.

Hamlet, we are heading to the mouth of the Big Canyon. EB One, Sojourner and
about another 25 warriors are waiting there. Didn't you say that you will come up
with a plan how to get rid of the Amphibians once and for all? After our forces
will be reunited again, we will be about fifty warriors, EB One and EB III as their
commanders, Zachary, me, Mao, Gen and Sojourner. Any ideas yet?

Also Bryce, Thixel, Orpheus, JASE, Koala, Grand Zero: We need your help badly.

Transmission from GAIL

Bryce, I think you are right. Burn moved quickly to take the egg out of Theresa's
hands. He placed it back with the other eggs using extreme care. His back was turned
toward the entrance, so he did not notice Caleb's entrance. Caleb rattled and snapped
his pincers. Burn turned around with a fluid motion.

It was lucky that I had the translator box turned on.

"Yours the fault, yours only.
Opening Groove, Amphibians here/now.
Installation damaged, data lost, future security non-existent.
Yours the fault.
Tools they are, troubles sourced, justice thwarted.
Grandiose non-concensus, irresponsible ambition yours.
Heedless, indulgent.

"And why now untimely this?
Nestbrothers nevermore. Yours the fault."

Hamlet, Miss Chang keeps asking what frequency you transmit on, and what times you transmit. I just told her it keeps changing. Is that OK?

Mr. Parker, what happened?
This Hamlet was nearly ours!
You told me Union Square was secured.
Obviously, you neglected the underground parking garage.

"Gail, dear, why didn't your friend Hamlet meet me? He phoned; I went to Union Square.
I was waiting out in the cold rain for hours."

Transmission from ZACHARY

We crossed the plains without any troubles. Enoch is a good scout. He is a very
competent pilot and relying on him gives us a very safe feeling. So, we reached
EB One and his forces without any harm. We found them still in good shape. They
were hiding all time in several side canyons at the entrance of the Big Canyon,
and they kept strict communications silence. They did fine. That way the Amphibians
had almost no chance to detect them.

EB III updated EB One. He informed him about the destroyed factory. EB One seems
to be a little depressed concerning that, although he didn't say a word. I think that's
a real disadvantage of running in two separated units. You have to deal with bad
news twice.

EB III already started to mount the new laser weapons on top of the warriors. He said
that it will take some time until he will be finished. Therefore, I asked Enoch to make
an observation flight to scout out the Amphibians. I wondered why he didn't move
up the Big Canyon directly, but then I saw that he went further north only to cross the
mountain chain over there. Good idea, Enoch. So the Amphibians won't have a hint
about our current location.

He really is a smart probe, and I'm very confident that we will beat the Amphibians.
