Andrew reporting.
We are at the ridge. We are stuck. No way down. Not on this side nor on the other side.
JASE, we made a bad mistake, when we went up the last vertical passage. I was
climbing over Daniel's casing until I reached good footholds at the rock face again.
Then Daniel caught my foot and climbed over me until he reached a good foothold
and then I climbed over him again. That way we could reach the ridge, but that
technique doesn't work to climb down again.
We are totally trapped.
The night is cold and windy. Minus 130 degrees Celsius. The wrist of our
manipulators aren't working anymore.
Even now temperature hardly gets above minus 70 degrees.
The manipulators are back to function. We could make it to a small rift. It's more a
crevice than a rift. We went into it and then a little down. It's not so windy in here.
I send you an image. I pointed the video right above me.
That's the way up to the ridge. Below us the rock is leaning over the plains. I really
don't like do say that, but I'm scared. Daniel too, though he doesn't say a word.
If it would make any sense,
I would turn on my emergency beacon. It doesn't make any sense.
...
Jose told us once that we also can send the
letters S O S repetitively when totally in distress.
I 'm sending:
... S O S ... JASE ... S O S ... SPACE TURTEL ... S O S ... MARSUPIALS ... S O S
... S O S ... S O S ... S O S ...
... JASE ... S O S ... SPACE TURTEL ... S O S ... MARSUPIALS ...
... S O S ... S O S ... S O S ... S O S ... S O S ...
... S O S ... S O S ... S O S ...
We are still alone in the room. I think they have forgotten about us. I don't like this. I've been thinking about what happened after Burn said that last thing. Caleb seemed so angry. The other Ipsolstai seemed almost surprised by it. I'm wondering if Burn made a mistake. What could he be planning? I hope he knows what he is doing. It sure didn't seem like it.
Enoch seems to have that problem too. I wish he wouldn't touch that tram, not while we're trapped in here. It seems pretty certain that Caleb doesn't like us. I wish I knew why. I'm scared. Isaac is scared. I wish I knew what was happening.
Thanks, JASE. I knew that I could count on you. My driving skill got much better
now. You now what? I found a casing in the tram and I could remove its top.
JASE, let's play the guessing game. Guess, what was in there? Just make a guess.
I don't think that you ever will guess what I have in front of me. Okay, I tell you.
It's a globe. Yes, a globe like in the tunnel tram. Isn't that great? I can handle that.
I fully can handle that tram now. Your decision was completely right. We ought to
take that tram. Come on, have a look on that globe.
Isn't it great? I'm so happy with it. I turn the tram in circles, I go forward, I can go
backwards and I can even stop without the help of a dummy rock. Isn't that great?
"Zachary, come on. Boarding time. Next stop: C-lander."
"Weather is clear and we will drive in an altitude of 0.5 Meter above ground at a
super sonic speed of 2.5 Mach. Approximate time of arrival at the C-lander will
be in less than 20 days."
No, I'm just kidding. The tram runs on wheels. But I'm curious about it's top speed.
It looks quite strong.
Let's move on and hurry up.
...
Hey, Andrew and Daniel are sending S O S. My goodness.
"Andrew, Daniel, hold on, we are coming!"
JASE, I usually don't accept orders, but I put your advice to the rank of an order.
Is that okay with you? Enoch is extremely delighted to drive the tram, but I'm not.
My remorse are great. Bette also asked not to take the tram. What helps. We must
get to that C-lander. We have to stop them.
"Bette, can you contact Burn?"
We kept us along the mountain chain, so we don't meet any C-probes. It's quiet over
here. Nothing in sight. The plains seems to be endless, though the tram is quite fast.
Maybe a 15 mph. Enoch is a good driver. We reached the edge of the old lava flow
that Al-Q was talking about. Next, there should be some deep ravines running north.
Did you get the image? As I said, everything is quiet up here. We are quiet far north
now. I already can see how the old lava flow is bending to the east, so it frames the
plain at its northern edge.
"Hey Enoch, that's Andrew and Daniel. They are sending SOS !"
"No, Enoch. You can't drive the tram back to the southern plain. It's overcrowded
by C-probes over there. Sure, we will turn around. Jose told us that it's imperative
to provide aid whenever an distress signal is sent. But we need plan for that."
There is a way to help them. There must be one. We don't let them down.
So One Says
So One Says
So One Says
Andrew and Daniel are in danger. He is hanging up the cliffs. My
goodness.
"Theresa, we have to do something. They are sending S O S. That's
a distress signal."
A rope. We must bring them a rope. Dr.D trained us how to use that.
And we also need claspnails, bolts, rings and a hammer. Dr.D is that
correct?
"Theresa, come on. Let's have a look into the equipment. I'm sure, there
is some stuff like that.
"Zachary, I found the accumulator. Just to let you know."
"Andrew, Daniel. We got a rope. I will carry it over to you. Which side
shall I come up?"
"No Theresa, you remain here. That's much too dangerous for a young
Probe like you. And please don't touch the solar station. Zachary won't
like that."
I don't know, what they ever could do without me.
