Good idea, Xanthos! I was so scared I forgot what to do. I am trying to do what you suggested
now. I hope it works. I would really like to get back into the fortress and help Enoch with
Andrew. I don't like being out here without anyone else.
I suppose Gail and Daniel are still out here, but they don't really count. I don't know if they would
come if I called them or not. It is all very strange. And Zachary! I hope he comes back soon. I
miss him.

I am waiting for the EU probe to follow the tracks into the tunnel. I hope this works. I don't want
to risk letting Isaac loose until I have Bette in here and until Andrew is a little better.
Something a little strange happened today. I heard a voice that wasn't Bette's or Gail's or
Zachary's or Daniel's or Isaac's. It was like this:
I Think he wants to know if I'm going to stay in the fotress. I didn't say anything and he said the
same thing again. It was loud, like the transmissions from Brace were. So I said that I would be
staying here, if that was what he meant. Then he said something else:
"Yes. Wait."
That's all that he said. I think something is going to happen. I wish Bette were here.

I'm back. I'm on my way to the Fortress. I've had enough of the Ipsolstai and
their Groove. Caleb and two other Ipsolstai debriefed me. I was carrying an Ipsolstai
message. It was very long and all different colors. I tried to transmit some
of it to you. Did anybody receive it?
I went through the Groove. If Caleb had asked me to go, I prpbably would have said
yes, but he tricked me. I thought Caleb was my friend, but he did a mean trick.
I almost didn't get back.
I don't know where I went, but it wasn't Mars. Later, when I was outdoors, I couldn't
see the sky because of thick cloud cover. It was cold and gloomy, minus 179 degrees Celsius.
I lost my balance. Maybe that was the Groove. At the next step I was facing
away from the sparkly center area. There were big robots with weapon tubes
pointed at me, and several Ipsolstai behind them. I crouched down and played possum.
They must have thought I was an Amphibian scout until they saw the insignia Caleb
painted on my casing. Then they weren't so tense. I put down the package that
Caleb gave me. One of the robots came forward and picked it up.
