Andrew reporting.
The EU probes seem to be checking air temperature, humidity, and molecular analysis. They
are taking soil samples. too. I can't believe we spent so much time doing those things when we
first came. But that was before we knew about Jose's cave and found so many things to play
with.
Something unusual happened last night. When the sun rose and it got light enought to sense
visually, I found three piles of rocks nearby. The first pile had twenty rocks. The next pile had
nine rocks. There was another pile farther away. It had twenty-three rocks.
The EU probes haven't noticed the piles. After all, what's special about fifty-two more rocks on
Mars?
Hi, Dr. D. It's nice to hear from you. Remember the time I got locked in your office? Everybody
was looking for me. It was funny when you came back and saw how I changed your files so
you could find things faster. You were so surprised.
Xanthos, I'll ask Enoch to put detectors in the trap tunnels, too. There are also three tunnels
that go out to side canyons so we won't get stuck inside our Fortress.
If I had enough parts, Xanthos, I could build lots of detectors so we could pinpoint anybody or
anything that got in our trap tunnels. Then you could make a map that would show exactly
where the somebody was.
It would be almost as good as one of those vidscreens that Andrew liked so much.
Bombardier, I asked Parker and Hardon if they were OK. THey didn't answer at first.
Then they said:
Psiclops, I went outside the Fortress into the Big Canyon. Both moons were rising, and I could
see Earth.
I didn't see any sign of Daniel. It makes me worried not to know where he is or what
he is doing, so I went back to help Bette.
"Bette? I found out about that blob of metal/not metal that the Ipsolstai gave you. You were
right. Caleb says it makes alternate circuits so you can be influenced. 'Controlled' is a better
word. Daniel has one just like it."
Xanthos, I don't want to ask Caleb to paralyze the EU probes. He said they were our problem.
I asked him your next question. He cycled through many interesting shades of green and yellow.
