OK, this is from memory, so you know what that means! 8^)

Last Friday I spent some time detailing a number of ideas I had. It was a good posting. I think you would have been proud of me -- OK, you would at least have thought I grew a few more grey cells. Anyway, I am attempting to reconstruct the best parts here, so please bare with me...

1) The message that Gail received.

I believe either Parker, Hardon or both are actively attempting to contact us through Gail. At first, I thought it might be an indicator of dissention in the ranks, but I am not so certain now. I wonder if Ms. Chang has not put them up to it in order to try to entice us into doing something stupid like giving away important information about who we are, what we know, and what we are doing. We must be very careful as this "new" contact continues.

2) The Amphibian.

Now we know for certain where Rock Talk came from. This is a very interesting turn because it tells us that the Ipsos were not the sole occupants of Mars when our friends landed. It also means the 'Phibs were active before the Ipsos. That being the case, it is a wonder they did not raid the sleeping Ipsos' base and destroy them -- unless they are not the war-mongering creatures they have been made out to be.

3) EB.

I have my lingering doubts about EB. How do the rest of you feel? I am concerned about the idea of all our Mars Probes being in that cave where they are dependent upon EB and his creations to gain egress. I don't want to alarm the Probes with baseless speculation, but I do want us to consider the scenarios.

4) Guardian-of-Younger-Nestbrothers.

What an apropriate name! Coincidence? I don't think so. The Probes are the younger Nestbrothers, an honorific bestowed upon them via Commander Fitzgerald on Mars. The ship is their guardian. Does that mean it is intended to protect them from danger or to protect the Ipsos from the "danger" of them?

That's all I can dredge up for now... let's hear what you have to say.
