The image sent today of an Amphibian out of its armor suggests they use a similar poly-chromatic means of communication as the Ipsos.

The similarity does not seem to end there. I see enough of a common ancestry to speculate the Phibs and the Ipsos may have come from a common source stock. They may be closely related and their battles could be a cosmic sibling rivalry.

Think about it. The Ipsos are gelatinous, with 8 appendiges that are straight and horizontal. They do not appear to have an inner skeletal system. The Phibs appear to have the same dermal characteristics, but they do have a skeletal system of some kind and their arms or legs are well defined. This could represent two different evolutionary branches of the same parent species.
