Today's inbound clearly demonstrates that Caleb has the upper hand.
> Concensus determined. What reason to change?
The Ipsos decided to accept Caleb's version of the tale. It may be, as I said earlier, a case of it is easier to write history to support the survivor than the one killed by that survivor.
> Impropriety, disharmony beyond bearing.
The Ipsos cannot understand why the Probes do not accept their decision without question. This concept is foreign to them as a species (although not to Caleb).
> Impetuous nestling indulging nonetheless permission of the Imperium.
The Probes are considered nestlings, that is GOOD. The Imperium has instructed they be indulged and allowed to deviate from the normal Ipso behaviors, also GOOD. There is great hope available in that statement.
> We see. We wait. Continue.
Fitzgerald is willing to hear and view what Theresa has to offer. Whether or not she is able to do so before being eliminated by Caleb's deputies is yet to be seen.
Q: What will be the reaction of the other Ipsos if Theresa is damaged or destroyed before she is able to give her testimony? Will Caleb suffer or gain from it?
Q: Can Gail provide the same recordings? If not, can she offer any more testimony beyond what she already has? Will it make any difference?
Bonus Q: How is it that Caleb was able to arrange for armed deputies to be present? How is it that arms are permitted there at all? I should hope he is not being permitted to provide security services for the assembly of judgement against him! If he is, what a strange social system the Ipsolstai have created.
