What you need is "due process" in order to maintain the moral high ground. War criminals can be found guilty of "crimes against humanity"; there is no reason why Probe Society can't develop a legal code and system of justice.

If Parker, Chang et al are found guilty of "crimes against probe society", then more options for direct action become available.
