I, too, like Russo's Idea, but, it would be near impossible. You can't teach an emotion, nor learn it. It is engraved in your mind. And, though I have only been here a short time, I have seen a hint of emotion becoming visible in several of the probes. It seems that they are slowly developing something that no one knew was in there programming. Maybe it's not even in there programming. But I've seen such emotions as caring, trust, and hope in many of the probes. I suspect over time that there emotions will grow stronger and more visible. I also believe that they will each end up having a distinctly different personality, which I have also seen a bit of.
As for teaching them a relgion, as Hamlet said, it is something you have to believe, and at this stage, the probes will just take it as a command. I expect eventually they'll find their own way of "life". But, not for quite a time.
