The One is not the Nestbrother. Daniel has said so, but it followed logically even before that. The Ipsos refer to each other as "brother." It follows that anything they call a "Nestbrother" is probably a mate or direct relative.
Perhaps the Ipso culture is similar to the stereotypical Eastern culture where the aged are revered, honored and protected? That could explain Caleb's and Burn's agitation.
