Our dear Gail is turning into a little bit of a liability. Since she's never had to be cynical about people, she can trust them on the same basis as an innocent child. That makes her easy to manipulate by Chang. We must find a way to get her to distrust Chang.

Sine Chang must be nice to Gail in order to keep her faith, how about we have Gail ask her about Dilyn. Also, we wanted a good time to use our little sugar trick, how about now. When Chang finds out that we had the ability to "infiltrate" their "lair, (I use these for lack of better words) she should have a very human reaction - one of surprise and anger, with a touch of fear mixed in. People in this state tend to be unpredictable, and this would be a good thing to have Ms. Chang do. She might slip and say something mean to Gail. In the worst case, it would only serve to make Ms. Chang a little edgy.

Also, if we can assume that Chang and Co. know about the Chinese expedition, we could press Chang for info about that. She should at least be nice if she wants to keep Gail as a friend, and we can keep asking questions until we try her patience. We could even have Gail ask all sorts of more... personal questions about Chang herself, just to see if we can try her patience.

Whatever we do, we should refrain from telling Gail she cannot talk to Chang. That would cause her to hide her friendship from us, and serve to alienate her as well. Anyone who's parents told them (or who told their own kids) that they were not allowed to be friends with someone knows what would happen.

Well! I didn't mean for this to be quite so long, sorry. As always, ideas/comments/riducle are welcomed.
