Good points there, Taz. If the 'phibs did capture the A/C group and take their equipment, that could explain the Chineese writing and the machine with "Argentina" written on it.
The complexity of that compound is astounding. It has redundant or powerful backup power sources (as evidenced by Enoch destroying the sun sails, yet the machines continue to run). It is headed by an AI that is "young" to Earth standards of behavior yet sophisticated enough to operate the base.
