I may be anthropomorphizing a bit here, but my first reaction was that Burn was saying something akin to,
"You're no better than an Amphibian. I'm ashamed to by your son."
If anything in the world would cause someone as hard-headed as me to re-examine my motives and attitudes, it would be one of my progeny expressing shame in his immediate ancestry. We don't know what the color black means in "Ipsolstai-ese". Perhaps it is anger...or perhaps disgust...or - perhaps genuine shame.
I think I'll send a message of encouragement to Bette and Isaac and wait for the jury to return.
