"I still thingk that the lander has self destruct mode."

I would imagine that it is fortified and armed, even if there are no humans there.

Becareful, Zach and Enoch.

However, the issue at hand is how should we counsel the probes to deal with humans should they be encountered.

Being somewhat of a Pacificist and a subscriber to the credo of Uncle Bob, I would suggest that we seek to disarm any encountered humans. I would further suggest their communications be disable to keep them from using the destructors against us. If that fails, I would suggest avoidance at all costs. Our probes are not equipped to oppose humans. A single human could do what all the destructor probes have failed in doing - just by hitting the cold reboot button or disconnecting the power supply. Additionally, despite how fond we have become of the little guys, they are not life and I would oppose using them to kill humans (or Ipsos for that matter) in order to sustain this project. If the Chinese HAVE sent humans and if they ARE successful in rebooting some of the probes, I suggest we contact them somehow (through A.S. maybe), concede defeat and offer cooperation using what we accomplished here.

Just my humble opinion, to which I'm sure there will be significant opposition
