You have a good point. Did you notice the symbols have an almost humanoid quality to them? I had an impression from viewing them that they were a pictograph explaining how to use the airlock. The images looked like bipedal humanoids performing designated tasks to pass through the doors.
Then again, perhaps I am simply athropomorphising...
If they are indeed humanoid in appearance, does that mean we have more in common with them than the Ipsolstai? No, I do not believe so. Physical similarity is not enough. We must learn all we can about them before arbitrarily deciding they are friend or foe.
I agree with the recommendation that Isaac and Bette continue their explorations. We need to gather as much information as possible. They do not appear to be in any danger yet and as long as they are careful they should be OK.
I also tend to accept your interpretation of the situation given Daniel's odd behavior (even for him). He has clearly been influenced by others besides the Probes and the MARSupials. At first, I thought it was exposure to the Ipsos, but I cannot keep from considering the likely possibility that Daniel has had contact with both the Ipsolstai and the Amphibians. That would explain his knowledge of "the One." I am certain the glowing object and the button on the floor are associated with "One" and may be the means of communicating with or traveling to "One."
