I like this plan. If we do get contact with the probe, we might be able to diplomacise our way out of this mess. Otherwise, it would have one rocket less, and Gail might not mind us killing it.
When I read the team report, I had a thought that I don't like. Perhaps the other signals are smaller probes that are waiting for Big Brother to get rid of the competition. This would have been an excellent tactic from the Chinese point of view. Or perhaps they have something to do with reloading?
I'll ask the probes if they hve a relay station that could be used to communicate to the probe. If they do, perhaps they could set it up in Isaac's cave.
