That close to correct .. I will not know how much damage we have until we get a power on self test. I first need to get the boot strap loader running. That will be connecting a probes RS422 data line to him and reloading the program, then it should try to start.

It none of the tape is intact then it will require loading a new data set. I know that everyone likes to think of the probes as human but there not. It will be more like putting in a new hard drive in a PC. Loading a new OS and we will have the same computer but none of the same programs..

I hope not to sound I don't care if the Alpha probe acts like Andrew, it's was neet to have a probe think he was human. But a probe is a computer on legs. If it can be fixed then we should fix it even if is just to use as a probe called Alpha.
