I thought about Andrew over the weekend and just read his transmission. I am reasonably convinced of several things:

1) He did not get transported by a Groove. I am not willing to believe that the transmitter he has is capable of operating across a transport mechanism too advanced for us to understand, let alone know when it is and is not functioning.

2) He has suffered some physical damage that has deteriorated over a brief period of time. The thermocouple and power generation reports suggest he was hit either by EU-probe fire or shrapnel during the raid. The fact that he could run and was sufficiently unaffected to send us a detailed report of his activity after being freed from capture supports the conclusion of damage.

3) He may be in a region that has magnetic or gravimetric anomolies. If so, they may be affecting his systems. This could be in addition to or in place of #2.

4) If he is following the Sun, he is most likely running in circles and needs help quickly. His inertial guidance system is already suspect and may not be reporting correctly to him, or he may not be able to interpret the information correctly.

We need to consider our options.

1) We can send a drone to try to locate Andrew and possibly lead/bring him back.

2) We can send a Probe.

3) We can ask the Ipsolstai to locate him with their equipment and possibly provide transportation back. If they agree to the transport as well, it would be HIGHLY advisable to one or two probes to accompany them since Andrew probably does not remember the Ipsos any better than he does the MARSupials, probably worse.

Cons:

1 & 2 have the equal problem that if it is an externally created problem, such as magnetic or gravimetric anomolies, the drones and Probes would be affected similarly to Andrew

3 has the problem of being unlikely given the Ipso's stated position that the Probes and the Ipsos should be "concerned for their own kind."

Pros:

1 & 2 both provide familiar entities for Andrew and may prove to be conducive to his cooperation

3 has the quality of being the most prompt and fasted means of recovering Andrew.
