H&P are just asking for contract. That's all.
We don't know yet, what they require. So let's have a look into first, before we declare war again. -- I think, they want to bind our probes legally to their Consortium. And we want to bind their probes to our intentions. That's the game.
However, let's take the positive aspect. They are officially dealing with the probes as sentient, self-aware and legal subjects. That's quite much isn't it ??
Also further departments of Brunel & Brauer have been involved - at least the law department, but also further up, as usually the middle management is not working as probe controllers.
Further on, one of our targets is to negotiate with Brunel & Brauer to finally establish a link between Earth and the Ipsolstai. There is nothing lost by talking in terms of a contract. That is just a question of syntax but not of semantics. What I mean, its a good way to have them officially state their point of view. That means setting facts, we can also use against them. And you know, to negotiate a treaty can last quite a while and gives good opportunities to have a lot of fun and to yank the chain, whenever we like, for at least we are not in quite bad position after all.
At the very last, I think, our probes have to prove the contract by a lawyer, for they really don't know enough about that kind of dealing. -- Now let's see, for whom time is running.
At the first sight it looks like time runs against us, as Andrew is in a bad situation. However, we have to deal with that anyway, for the command codes never would come in time. For I personally would not like to destroy the EU-probes, one of the probes has to observe the EU-probes finally all the time, so we know, where they are moving, but that could be done by vidscreen. However, I think we can handle that.
At the second view, it doesn't look as good for H&P to be without success. The same to Brunel and Brauer also in a long term sight. A lot of chances to bother them by constantly asking for the command codes. However, it is very important for legal purposes that Brunel & Brauer are dealing solely with the probes only and not with any of us. Seems to be the first time in law history that a Consortium is dealing with probes in a legal way. :-)
Therefore I would suggest to tell them, that the probes are proving their contract, so we have time to look into. And then we start with certain questions. I think, that will be a lot of fun. -- Later on the probes might state as a good an act of good will, that they are not Alpha, Betta and so on Units, but Andrew, Bette, Gail and so on ... just to name the contract parties correctly ...
I'm really looking forward to ...
