I don't think so.

P&H already know there is metal/not-metal because they have received the same information we have up to the point that Jose was killed. It was only then that the communications were modified to the point that they could not eavesdrop on everything between us.

They HAVE to know there is metal/not-metal. They know there is more than an unusual cave. To try to "play dumb" now will only anger them and prevent us from gaining their confidence. We must give enough of a tantalizing morsel that they absolutely cannot stand not to have more.

The idea of telling about the tunnels would accomplish that, but I am concerned that we may be giving away too much with that. Perhaps stating we have found manufactured machinery in the caves would be sufficient? We need to keep some capital to ourselves for a while as future bargaining chips.
