Perhaps Dr.D and company did not always use the most "Prim & Proper" language around the probes. When things get "Tight" for the probes their language may reflect the same vocabulary as their role models back on Earth, much the same as human children use the words they hear from their parents and others they come in contact with (sometimes much to the chagrin of their parents)! As the probes more fully develop their personalities we may get even BIGGER surprises. Who knows what behaviors they may exhibit in the future? "Our" kids surprise us almost daily... don't you just love it?
