As Taz correctly pointed out, Enoch did not see a blob on Bette. He saw a blob on the transparent-shelled hologram image of a probe that the ET was making. This probe hologram was in response to Enoch's questions about Bette and Daniel and followed this passage.

Perhaps the ET was attempting to explain what they had done to Daniel. There is no indication that the hologram can be indetified as Bette. As I understand it, the probes are identified by their shell color. The image had a transparent shell. I think our little friend has reacted rashly again and may have some talking to do to re-establish a rapport with the ETs.
I am not yet certain that all of the problems observed in Bette are not manifestations of Denial. She does not want to think about having been shut down for 75 days. That much is obvious. She is unwilling to accept it. Accepting the compressed file from Gail dealing with the missing 75 days would require that she admit that there WERE 75 missing days. So...she just didn't accept the compressed files. We can test this by having someone other than Gail (perhaps Andrew) send her some other type of compressed data file. How about Xanthos' map? If she receives it, I think she may need some counseling (where is Jonathan when you need him?).
Anyway, I think we need to calm and reassure Enoch and get him back to the negotiating table.
