I think we should not attempt to do anything to Bette at this time. She is certain there is nothing wrong with her and will, no doubt, fight any attempt to open and examine her. She will probably conclude it is an attempt to harm her. I think we should note its presence and wait to see what its purpose is.

Perhaps it is the "cloaking device" I was suggesting in the first posting of this thread? If so, we may want to consider having one installed in each probe, rather than removing it from Bette.

Another thing to consider is that contact with metal/not-metal usually causes temporary system impairment. Obviously, there is a way to avoid that or both Bette and Daniel would not be able to function. Since we do not know what the process is to make it safe to interface with the substance, I do not think it wise to allow Andrew to come into direct contact with it.

"Wait and see" seems to be the answer for now.
