Perhaps the Ipstolstians made no *Intentional* modifications to Bette, but there is still the possibility of hidden damage from the blast she took from their light beam weapon. Her unwillingness to accept the fact that 75 days passed while she was de-activated is perhaps understandable, but her inability to receive compressed transmissions from the other probes is still of great concern in my mind. We must also keep in mind that while the other probes have grown emotionally for 2˝ months Bette has been stagnant. There will be a period of adjustment in the probes interactions. We must try to remember how the probes thought and responded to our messages almost 3 months ago now and treat Bette accordingly. I think it is more than possible that Bette hasn’t changed at all… it is *WE* who have changed and she is having a difficult time adjusting to *OUR* strange behavior!
