Me, too. And, apparently, Taz, as well.

It does sound like Daniel is in there someplace, trying to get out, but is being used as a 'mouthpiece' for the Ipsoltains. If this is correct, this is both good and bad - and that in itself is unfortunate.

We will be able to communicate with the Ipsoltains (good) but it may wind up harming Daniel psychologically (bad). What makes this unfortunate is that we can learn a ton about the Ipsos in a very short period of time via this method of communication but may sacrifice Daniel in the process.

At what point do we say, "Enough is enough, fix Daniel or let us fix him, but this can't go on"? Bearing in mind that A) We don't know for sure Daniel is being harmed in any way, shape or form, and B) This communication may be of such importance that even if he was, it may be worth it to the probes and/or mankind to make the involuntary sacrifice.

Not really a clear cut ethical situation until we find out what the Ipsos have to say.
