Or some deliberate tampering by the ETs? Could they have wiped her memory of what happened after they disabled her legs? On one hand, if they did that, it may have been for altruistic reasons - they realized that our probes are intelligent and did not want her to remember the "bad" things they did. On the more sinister side, maybe *these* ETs are really the baddies, not the amphibians. And maybe Bette saw something that they don't want us to know about. For that matter, do we know that the ETs that Enoch has been dealing with and the ETs that Zachary has been dealing with are the same ETs?<p>joule
