Thanks for reminding us of the standard terms for these objects. Maybe you can publish a second edition of the dictionary that includes the "slang" terms that folks have generally adopted. For instance, I think it was Gail who nicknamed the J-probe "Gen". I must admit that Gen seemed more natural than J-probe, maybe because I've gotten so used to "anthropomorphizing" the probes that a real nickname was easier to remember. No other slang seems to have stuck yet, but I'm sure that when the EU-probes arrive, we or the probes will end up giving them names.

Let's see the next six letters of the Greek alphabet are
Eta = Ellen
Iota = Ira
Kappa = Kathy
Lambda = Larry
Mu = Maggie
Nu = Nate
