SUBJECT>How will we defend against/subvert the E-probes? POSTER>joule EMAIL>@the.lab DATE>July 14, 1997 at 17:32:06 EMAILNOTICES>no PREVIOUS> NEXT>2915 2920 LINKNAME> LINKURL>

Eventually we will have to tell the ETs about the E-probes, and we will also have to prepare our probes to deal with them. So how do we do this?

For instance, would it be possible to forcibly change their command codes if the ETs capture them and turn them off? Even if this is possible, they might turn around and tell P&H everything when they're turned back on, including the new command codes. What about just removing their transmitters and teaching them written language until we find out from them what P&H are up to and convince them to side with our probes? I'm uncomfortable with both these options because I have anthropomorphized the probes so much.

Any other ideas?
