Probes belonging to the Amphibians landed on their homeworld and stole/replicated their Groove technology and established a Groove Anchor between the Amphibian homeworld and the ET homeworld.

Once the Groove was opened, the Amphibians invaded. I believe that previous statements would indicate that much damage was done to the ET homeworld.

I'm not sure about this one. I think maybe, that they are surprised to hear that no Amphibian probes landed on Earth. They were expecting a fleet of Amphibian probes from Earth (our probes came from there) to invade Mars as it did their homeworld.

How fast is fast? The ET trams apparently move pretty fast themselves. If these Amphibians are faster than that, holy cow!
