SUBJECT>What should Enoch say about humans? POSTER>joule EMAIL>@the.lab DATE>July 11, 1997 at 13:34:59 EMAILNOTICES>no PREVIOUS> NEXT>2865 LINKNAME> LINKURL>
Now might be a good time for a very brief history of humans. Also, even though humans are not amphibians, the ETs are not necessarily safe. Although we want to be friends with them, I can easily imagine humans with less than noble purposes - like stealing their technology, exhibiting them in a traveling zoo, or simply killing them out of fear. How do we tackle the issue of their safety? They are relatively safe at present. I'm sure they can handle any probe that the MNs might send, but eventually humans WILL come to Mars, especially once they know of the existence the ETs and their technology.
So with that in mind, here's what I propose to suggest to Enoch for the next message:
I would be very sad too if my homeworld were lost. How long did you sleep? Humans have been sending probes to the planets in this solar system for less than 50 years, and the humans have never traveled beyond this solar system. That is why they can't be the amphibians that destroyed your homeworld. Someday humans will come to Mars to explore and investigate too, but we don't know when. What does an amphibian look like?
Anything I should add?
