-- We and or out probes are amphibians. Amphibian does not HAVE to mean "lives on land and in water". It could mean "can live in oxygen-rich subsurface conditions and/or on the surface in oxygen-depleted atmosphere and conditions." Perhaps the ETs cannot go to the surface without the tram or some such equipment. Again, it would seem that our excavation and construction activities are harmful to them in some way and they want us to stop. --
