In the ET's message to Enoch, they said, "Amphibian stop hurt homeworld no more" and they seem very concerned about "grooves." My personal take on this is that they feel the trenches are somehow hurting the planet. If this is correct, we need to stop the fuel station construction, because that would be downright offensive to these folks. Think about it...nearly the whole thing was to be built using raw materials found on and mined from the planet. Also, the whole purpose of the construction is to set up a base for us amphibians....another blow to positive relations right now.
So what do you say that we have Gail shut down the drones when they are finished with the defensive works? Since Enoch is the ET's 'guest' right now (as are, presumably, Bette and Daniel), I don't think that it would be wise to step on any ET toes (or cilia or whatever). The probes need to firther demonstrate that they are friendly and that they understand they are, in fact, the interlopers on this planet, whether the ETs are native or not.
So, let's have a show of hands/paws/tendrils: Do we shut down the drones?
