No the trenches won't be of much help. We would need to build them much deeper. I think <br>about 10 m about and even broader. Remember who acrobatically Bette and Enoch went <br>down the 200 ft deep shaft. Much effort and probably even dangerous to our probes too. --<p>In my opinion best protection will be the Fortress only reachable by tunnels, though we <br>still have to think about traps, locks and hidden by-passes. -- Concerning the Degaussing <br>debate we could lead the H&P-Probes through an electromagnetic field in the tunnels. <br>Should be possible to establish by some copper wires if available by our resources. --<br>That would pop out the eyes of H&P[s' skulls]!!
