Zot's right here.  Sorry, I had to go to Nevada for some research last week, but I've been trying to stay in touch.<p>If the image shown are scan lines, most likely they are showing up more as a function of a mismatch in the scan rates rather than direction.  If Andrew can adjust the speed of his scan to a possibly slower rate, the lines might not show up as much.  Is he able to monitor this as he captures the image?  This would be my speculation, anyway.<p>Captain Zot
