The mines wouldn't need to be - and probably SHOULDN'T be - pressure detonated. In fact, now that I think about it, they probably CAN'T be pressure detonated, be cause you need pressure switches to do that.

To do mining safely, the explosives that the drones carry are, doubtless, detonated by radio command. To ensure "range safety", we can give the probes "Don't shoot (detonate) until you see the whites of their eyes" type of commands as to when it's OK to blow something up. Heh heh heh, uh, excuse me.
