Um, one point: if our transmissions are being monitored and we are concerned for the probes' safety, which is what the gist of this message seems to be, then the very act of sending them the key to the code will invalidate it. We'll be sending the key to whoever else is monitoring our transmissions, and it will do no good. Knowing that Dilyn's resources are limited, I really doubt that she's using some other type of transmission that can't be overheard. We would have to send some sort of cleartext originally to explain about PGP and how to decode it. It just seems like a lot of work for little or no gain.

Even if that's not a concern, I just find the codewords to be rather annoying, since I'll have to translate everything sent and received.

So, as well-intentioned as this idea is, I'll have to vote no.
