I mistakenly left implicit in my message the precondition that it not act in a hostile manner. If it does attack or otherwise deliberately sabotage the Probes efforts then you are correct that it can and should be taken as a prisoner of war.

Q: In the case of its being a POW, do the Geneva War Conventions apply? Do we have to not use it as a laborer? What other restrictions apply?
