The only way the probe can send a picture is like they send it to the Comm station (note: that is a serial -slow transmission with different number of scan lines per image -- we also get a digital not a analog image ). They could make it in there image buffer like they clean up images. The thought of sending them on frequencies other than the one we talk to them with would require the probes to change the frequencies all the time. That would be hard I thank. The setting and testing of the transmitter requires some time ..I don't know how long it is, we could ask a probe how long it takes.. The ET's must be smart to have seen the TV transmission and made a picture out of it so I bet that they can over come the scan rate problems. Having the probes put a black frame around the image could help the ET's understand the image. We know how wide the image are so that makes it simpler to reassemble. the black frame could help the start and stopping of the lines and picture size..
