The hierarchy of terms can be shown in a "laddering"-model, which is a kind of mind
mapping used in marketing and advertising, so by Coca Cola, whose marketing chief
Mr. Reynolds had once been in Innsbruck by a short stop over. This laddering of terms
might be useful in contact with the ETs as well.
At the lowest level you've got "Attributes" you can perceive by your sensory, like
colors, taste, size and so on, being configured at the next level as "Samples of
Attributes". The appearance of that has "Psychological Consequences", like: looking
nice, giving a fresh feeling, makes thirsty and so on. Moving up the ladder to the next
level you enter the terms of "values". First are characterized as "Psychological Values",
like: makes me strong, makes me save, makes me ugly and also avoidance is possible,
like: gets me rid of fear and so on. Next step you find the "Social Values" like: being a
good host, not being one of these bad guys, being welcomed, being loved and so on.
Above that the "Terminal Values" are located, mostly expressed by "I am successful" or
as I would say: "I have enriched my being".
Communicating the values of your own person you have to take care, that the addressed
person or group of beings smoothly reaches their own "Terminal Value". Referring to
the ET's: by meeting the probes A,B,D,E,G, Z they will enrich themselves successfully.
In competition with others, probably pretty equivalent opponents, you've to take care to
occupy reliably terms high up the ladder. For instance, if one candidate for Presidency
is known as a "good guy" the other one can't be a "good guy" too, as this term is already
occupied. These terms have to be seconded by veritable terms at a lower level. Best way
if terms of a lower level, let's say the level of Attributes so justifiable by sensory, leads
directly up to the higher levels of values.
Concerning the situation of our probes, we have to find "terms", that the MN's probes
can't offer, but which leads directly to a high level of values. And to find "terms", which
the ETs would like to avoid, which our probes don't offer, but the MNs probes do.
One "term", which can be used that way has just come to my mind. This term is called
"Uncertainty". -- The MN's probes are directed by the strong power of the MNs. How
advanced the technological standard of the ETs might ever be, they have to be aware of
the strength of the MNs. This kind of "Uncertainty" against the MNs is a bad feeling,
ETs will have. It can be reduced after some contact, but it can't be totally avoided.
I assume, that the little Japanese is armed. At least he is a little rude. At least our probes
fear him. At least they build a fortress against him and at least they never would invite
him to enter their fortress. That increases "Uncertainty" against the MNs at the side of
the ETs too.
On the other hand our probes are totally unarmed, totally vulnerable and unable to offer
even a transport to Earth. All their resources are located at Mars and can be inspected.
The force, that brought them up, doesn't exist anymore. They are self-aware as sentient
beings innocently depending on themselves. Here they are. Nothing hidden. Asking to
be "Friends". That naturally decreases "Uncertainty".
Our probes are already pretty well known too, as a complete hologram and technical
schemata exist. Not so easy to be offered by the little Japanese and only at very high
risks, as he is alone -- Referring to MARSupials our probes are in a loose dialog with
some private and unorganized freaks and left over employees of Brace Control and
others gathered. But our probes are self-reliable, talking in their own name and do not
depend on orders, as they easily will demonstrate for sure. Attributes the little Japanese
can't offer. And as far as I see, the ETs take much care about their own safety.
