I beg a word or two with you regarding your team report.

"The MARSupials are too passive and let all the probes do too much of the thinking. The probes are machines but the
MARSupials insist on treating them as independent, sentient, life forms."

I see that you are not pleased with the way we **volunteers** are dealing with "the tools".

Well, excuuuse me, Miss Ivory Tower. We've been working here for what...15 weeks now? Where have you been all this time. If you really thought we were doing such a bad job, why didn't you come here and say so? Why didn't you offer your suggestions? If your methods for working with the probes were working so well, why did you seek our help in the first place? You were an only child, right?...and no kids of your own? Well that explains it. You cand deal with beings who are just beginning to think and evaluate and make judgements on their own with and iron fist. Look at all the success Parker and his buddy have had in getting the cooperation of the probes.

The probes were thinking and acting independently, long before we came on the scene. Your buddy Jose was the one who changed the command codes and didn't tell anyone. We are just trying to work with the tools you have given us. I think we have had a great deal of success in pursuading the probes to follow our suggestions, but if you think you can do a better job, may I suggest that you give it a try. The situation on Mars is at a turning point right now. Today would be a good day for you to send the probes whatever messages you want and try and get the project back on whatever it is that you consider the right road. If it works, we'll be right in there behind you helping out as best we can.

Good luck.

BTW, is your last name Hardon or maybe Parker?
