I posted that the ET's may have been acting in retrubution when they ambushed Bette while she was wandering the cave complex and pushing buttons... This is simply my guess. A simple warning shot would not have to have been followed up so quickly with capture. When I put myselves in the alien's shoes (do they wear them?) I would not like having my home invaded by robots of unknown disposition which went around poking every button they saw. Again, this is my opinion - I will start some new threads so we can collect our thoughts on the motivations and plans of each of our threats.
Second, moving the transmitter. We have received confirmation that the entire lander could be dragged around. I am wondering if the transmitter can be removed from the lander and moved seperatly. This would give us more options and leave the empty shell of the lander behind as a lure.
