Are you saying that the comm platform is mobile? Or the stage 2 lander? If so, that's the first I've heard of it.
Good point about Jose's cave. Definitely strike that location from the list. As for the antenna, I was hoping that putting the comm platform in the mouth of a cave would provide protection, plus still allow transmission. I'm afraid I was rather Enoch-like (impulsive) and already transmitted my plan to Zachary and Gail for their evaluation. I'm sure they'll see the problem with having the antenna in a cave.

My impression was that they shot toward Bette in order to make her keep her distance, then shot her when she failed to do so. Once they had her, they disassembled her to try to figure out how she works and where she came from. Heck, that's probably what would happen if an alien probe was found wandering around on Earth, but most likely without the warning shot!
