It has been correctly stated that the aliens have demonstrated superior technology (after all, they have weapons and the probes do not).  Why do we think two probes are less likely to be shot, captured, dismantled, destroyed than a solo probe?  I have forgotten, are they wearing the reflectors as armor?  Are we sending them to their own distruction by having them continue to wander randomly through the alien halways?<p>No, I don't know these answers.  I just feel the questions need to be asked.<p>T<br>
